ANTHONY (TONY) WIEBE Anthony (Tony) Wiebe, aged 72, of Winnipeg, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2006 at Riverview Health Centre. Tony leaves to mourn his loving wife Marion; son Marshall (Sabine), grandchildren, Curtis and Courtney; daughter Yvette Caron (Rob), grandchildren, Chantelle, Danielle and Celine; and son Deano; as well as his mothers-in-law Irmgard Eichelmann and Mrs. Kathrine Fehr; brothers and sisters, Verdie Peters (Albert), Victoria Zacharias (Lawrence), Ed Wiebe (Gladys); Glen Wiebe (Myrna), Anne Giesbrecht (George), Bill Fehr (Mary), Esther Wiebe (Frank) and Karin Lepenys; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Barbara Zacharias -Wiebe-Letkeman, Jacob J. Wiebe, David Letkeman and Jacob Fehr, his father-in-law Fritz Eichelmann; brother-in-law Joerge Lepenys; brother Jake and wife Marion Wiebe; sister Nora and husband Jake Loewen. On April 25, 1933, Tony was born in Schoenweise, MB to Barbara Zacharias. He married Marion Lepenys on May 3, 1962 in Saint Avold, France. Tony followed his brother Jake's footsteps and joined the RCAF in 1956. During his 22 years with the Forces, he spent time in Manitoba, various places overseas, Alberta and Ontario. After 22 years with the Forces, he retired in Winnipeg. Tony then drove a Winnipeg Transit bus for 16 years. From here he went to Beaver Bus Lines till June 2005. Tony was diagnosed with Cancer in January of 2005. Tony's funeral service will be held in Morrow Gospel Church, 755 St Anne's Rd. on Wednesday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place prior to the service. Our family wishes to thank everyone for all of their love, support and kindness shown during this difficult time. A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Allen and Anita Kehler, the staff of Riverview Health Centre and Tony's Palliative Care nurse Jennifer. In loving memory of our dear husband, dad, and opa, Tony will be greatly missed. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Anthony (Tony) Wiebe's memory may be made to the Cancer Care Manitoba. Tony's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 4665
