CASIMIR BROZA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Casimir Broza, beloved husband, father and grandfather, at the age of 73 at St. Boniface General Hospital on March 9, 2006 with his family at his side. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 43 years, Marge; his sons, Greg (Nancy) and Gary (Danielle) and his precious granddaughters, Danica and Melissa. He will also be missed by his sisters, Mary and Angeline, and brothers, Joe (Nellie), John and Ted. Cas was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rosalie, sisters, Rosemary and Genevieve, and brother Anton. Cas was born in Cromwell, MB in 1932 and lived and worked on the family farm until moving to Winnipeg in his early twenties. He drove taxi for 40 years until retirement in 1997. Cas always kept his family entertained with the tales he had to tell about his career. There was nothing more important to Cas than spending time with his family. Many summers were spent vacationing at Gull Lake and winters were spent in the arenas where he enjoyed watching his sons' hockey games, and later his granddaughters' ringette games. He believed in the importance of education and was never as proud as on the days that his sons received their University degrees. He always put his family's needs ahead of his own, and these sacrifices will always be lovingly remembered and appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface General Hospital, especially the nurses and Paul, for the wonderful care he received. Cremation has already taken place at Cas's request. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cas's memory to the charity of one's choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
