NETTIE VALKA December 6, 1921 March 12, 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother at the age of 84 years. Nettie leaves behind her sons, Ed and wife Stacey, Larry and wife Joy, and Garry; grandchildren, Lesley Valka, Kris (Bruce) Klobchar, Colleen (Ed) McGurry, and Neil Valka; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Valka, Ella, Jack, Sadie Klobchar, and Max McGurry; brother Nick Cherneski and sister Kate Budniak. Nettie was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph in 1993. Nettie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home with viewing prior to the service. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Colleen McGurry, Neil Valka, Dmetro Hyntka, Cliff Boulet, Myles Hodge and Corey Hodge. A very special thanks to Dr. Darcy Johnson for providing many years of compassionate care to mother, and the kind care provided by the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital.
