June 17, 1959 - March 13, 2006 Peacefully Jhun Masesar passed away in his home on March 13, 2006 with his wife Sally, daughter Jazzmin Fe, and his family at his side. Jhun showed his family courage and strength of having a positive outlook despite all the hardships that life entails. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Virgilio and Herminio, leaving behind his wife Sally, daughter Jazzmin Fe, son Justin, mother Fe and father Hugo Sr., brothers and sisters, Ofelia (Manny) Garcia, Pio (Linda), Gil (Rebecca), Onofre (Melba), Cecilia (Jessie) Comaling, Elda (Dominador) Fabian, Othello (Angie), Charito (Edwin) Gambalan, sisters-in-law, Nenette (Herminio) and Erlinda (Virgilio) as well as many nieces and nephews here in Winnipeg, in the Philippines, Vancouver and California. Jhun looked forward to spending time at his cottage called Jazzmin`s Bahay Kubo on weekends. He enjoyed many activities including snowmobiling, quading, hunting, ice fishing karaoke and playing poker with family and friends on Sunday evenings. He had an appreciation for sports cars particularly the green 1973 mustang mach 1 and liked driving around on Sunday nights especially during summer. He loved his cat Purrcilla and dog Haylee . Jhun was employed at St. Boniface Hospital for many years until his passing. Lamay will be Friday, March 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with prayers at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 18, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, 818 Arlington St. with interment and reception to follow at Glen Eden. Thanks to all family members, friends and his coworkers for all the support, love and prayers. Family would like to extend our thanks to CancerCare - Palliative Program, visiting nurses, and doctors especially Dr. M. L. Cummings at Health Sciences Centre.
