Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCARMON THEODORE (TONY) IZZARD December 5, 1927 - March 12, 2006 Carmon fought a long, hard fight against cancer and has now gone on to glory and the green, green grass of home. Born in Pictou County, NS, Carmon wed Mildred Mackinnon, also from Pictou County and had nine children, Ron, Lee, Eva, Millicent (Lloyd), Sandy (Walda), Eugene, Clinton, Kenny (Louise), Mandy (Steve). Twenty-five grand-children and four great-grandchildren. Carmon is predeceased by his father Archibald Izzard; mother Annie-Louise Lawrence; brother Billy; and sister Celestia. Carmon leaves behind brothers, Norman, Daniel, George; and sisters, Muriel, Mary, Susan, and Margaret; and many nieces and nephews. Carmon worked as a railroad porter for the Canadian Pacific Railway and then for VIA Rail Canada Inc. where he retired in 1994. The family would like to thank his friends that were there to assist him while he was still at home during his difficult period. The family would also like to thank all the nurses and staff at the Riverview Health Care Center who showed so much care and love for Carmon as well as his family and friends. Funeral service for Carmon will be held Friday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
