Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MOTALO (nee DIAWOL) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, it is with deepest regret that we announce the passing of Mary Motalo on Monday, March 13, 2006, at The Sharon Home, at the age of 95 years. Remaining to forever cherish in her memory are her daughters, Rose, Sophie (Bryan), Kaye (Larry); grandchildren, Laurie, Larry (Violetta), Lara and Shaun; two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Noah; sister Kaye; three nieces; three nephews and their families. She is predeceased by her husband Sam; parents, Steve and Rose; brothers, John and Mike and sisters-in-law, Vi and Sophie. On August 10, 1910 Mary was born in Winnipeg. She was a woman who took great pride in her family and was always there to offer help and support. Mary loved to cook, bake and make crafts. She was an active member in her Church where she could be found making perogies once a week. Mary was a strong woman and she gave that strength through support and love to her family and friends. She was always willing to teach and pass down what she had learned. Prayers will be sung on Thursday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 590 Alverstone St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, March 17 at 10:30 a.m., also in the church, with Rev. Fr. Isidore Dziadyk, O.S.B.M., officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. A special thank you to the staff on the 4th Floor at The Sharon Home of Winnipeg.
