Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT JAMES PIERCE 1931 - 2006 With great sadness we announce the passing of Robert on March 15, 2006. He will be lovingly remembered by Audrey, his wife of 51 years; his children, Rob (Sandra) Pierce, Brenda (Gerry) Wachal, Darlene (Ken) Walford, Darren (Lori) Pierce, Jeff (Kristin) Pierce and Colleen (Marcel) Belisle; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Christian, Alanna, Michael; Michelle (Ryan), Kenneth; Matthew, David, Melissa; Ronald, Ryan, Nicholas, Nathan; Jaelyn, Hayden, Duncan, Morgan; Daniel, Sarah, Vincent. He is also survived by his brothers, Lloyd (Katie), Willie (Doris); and sisters, Edith, Vera (Walter); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was born on a farm in Liberty, SK on December 25, l931. At 16 he moved to Alberta to work on a ranch. He settled in Winnipeg at 21 years of age. He drove a taxi then a semi truck and later was employed by Paramount Kenworth for over 25 years, first as a general manager and then as vice president of all divisions. In 1984 he started RJ Equipment with partner Bob Desjardins, which they operated successfully for 10 years at which time they sold the business. This gave him more time to enjoy his children, grandchildren and to travel with Audrey to Arizona. Robert was a warm and loving husband, father and grandfather and was loved by all who knew him. When he was not working and spending time with his family, he was enjoying the other things he loved: watching sports, doing home renovations and learning the computer. He was also an accomplished woodworker. Robert was always the first person to help someone in need. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Robert's life will be held Monday, March 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 400 Rouge Rd., Winnipeg. Flowers gratefully declined and donations may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church. CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
