BRENT CHRISTOPHER FLETCHER July 19, 1960 - March 14, 2006 It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of our son and brother Brent while at St. Boniface Hospital. He leaves to mourn his parents, Barry and Elaine; brother Mark; sister Leanne (Rory); nephews, Jordan, Joshua, Brennan and niece Laura; close family friend, fishing and Bomber buddy Don Yuel; aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Cecil and Mary Fletcher and George and Anna Verschoore. Brent was a kind, loving, and generous man. He continually put others needs before his own and was always willing to give of his time and resources to anyone in need. We will fondly remember his soft heart, humble spirit and gentle smile. Brent took pride in his barbequing skills and we always looked forward to the delicious meals he loved to prepare. Brent graduated from Murdoch Mackay in 1978 and participated in many sports at a competitive level including hockey, football, baseball and volleyball. Shortly thereafter he began his career at Great West Life where he continued to work until his untimely passing. Brent was one who always wanted to better himself at whatever he did in life and actively participated in ongoing educational programs during his tenure at Great West Life. His promotions were many from the time he started working for the company in the Records Department to when he transferred to the Computer area where he served in a number of capacities and most recently in a more Senior Technical Position. He was an avid sports fan and a Bomber season ticket holder for 27 years, as well as being a Winnipeg Jet season ticket holder for 17 years. He had a passion for fishing and looked forward to many fishing adventures with his friends. A celebration of Brent's life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21 at Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. W. with Rev. Carole Fletcher officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Brent's memory to a charity of ones choice. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
