HELEN JANINA BOROWSKI It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passinvg of our beloved mother, grandmother Helen on March 14, 2006 at St. Bonifrace Hospital at the age of 79. Helen is survived her daughter Irene (Paul) Wassermann of Scottsdale, AZ; sons, Richard (Gerri) and Thomas (Valoree) of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Michael and Kathryn both of Scottsdale, AZ; and brother Edmund of Hanover, Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Brian just this last Christmas Day. Helen was born in Hanoe, Germany May 23, 1926. She came to Winnipeg in 1948 along with her son Richard to join her husband who had preceded her. She was employed for a brief time by Woolworth and then along with her husband started Atlas Automotive Machine Works. They worked very hard and enjoyed a successful business for over 40 years. Our mother was a very devoted, kind and loving person. Her greatest joy was her family. For the past 20 year she spent her winters visiting her daughter, son-law and beloved grandchildren in Scottsdale. Mom will also be missed by her many friends in Arizona. Words cannot express the depth of our loss. We feel truly blessed to have had her as our mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank the staff and physicians of St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father as celebrant.
