PEARL REID Peacefully, after a short illness, on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at the Grace Hospital, Pearl Reid passed away, at the age of 92. Pearl was born in Guernsey, SK. The second of five daughters to Julia Ann and John Barkley Wood. She grew up on a dairy farm and from there taught school for a short time, before working for the Department of Supply and Services in the Federal Government, in Winnipeg for 38 years, retiring in 1977. Pearl was predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Berna Oatway (Norton), Ellen Newell (Les) and Marion Munroe (Bill). She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Margaret (Dick) Dueck in Saskatoon. Pearl enjoyed her retirement years, whether it was cruising to exotic places, with her sister Margaret, watching her beloved Blue Jays , playing cards, and having lunch dates with friends, she lived life to the fullest. She was very proud of her independence. She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, and many friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
