ELIZABETH BOYCHUK (nee NEGRYCH) October 4, 1910 - March 15, 2006 It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Elizabeth Elsie Boychuk after a long and full life of 95 years on Wednesday, March 15 at Oakview Personal Care Home with her children at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen in 1980; five brothers, Joseph, Edward, Charles, Adam and Walter; and five sisters, Emily Boychuk, Stephanie Schweiger, Rosalie Wild, Eugenie Bileski and Mary in infancy. She is survived by three sons, Ronald (Suzanne) of White Rock, BC, Daniel (Linda) of Okotoks, AB, Nelson (Susan) of Winnipeg, MB; one daughter Constance (Douglas) Waddell of Victoria, BC, and two chosen foster sons, Wayne Smith of Calgary, AB, and Carl (Brenda Winch) Smith of Winnipeg; 10 grandchildren, Julie (Darren) Smith, Jennifer (Alan) Feherty, Eliza Waddell, Stephen Boychuk, Carolyn (Dwayne) Smyth, Martin Smith, Michael Boychuk, Adam Boychuk, Paige Boychuk and Matthew Boychuk; two great-granddaughters, Nadia Smith and Sarah Feherty; one sister Angeline (Robinson) Rettinger of Victoria; as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. The family sincerely thanks the staff of One East at Oakview Personal Care Home for their gentle and loving care during the past 10 months that Oakview was Elsie's home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20 at 12:30 p.m., also at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home with a reception to follow. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca Remembrances may be made to a charity of one's choice in Elizabeth's memory.
