KRISTJANA SIGRIDUR JONES It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved mother and Amma on March 14, 2006 at the Youville Nursing Home in St. Albert, Alberta. Kristjana was formerley of Hecla Island, MB. She is survived by her daughter Vicky (Bud); son Craig (Bev); sons-in-law Don Schultz and Ed Bates; sister Lenore Didychuk (Mike); sisters-in-law Laverne Johnson and Edith Jones; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kristjana was predeceased by her husband Brynjolfur; son Binny; daughters Wendy, Wanda and Bonnie-lee; parents Sam and Freda Johnson; brother Mundi; parents-in-law Beggie and Anna Jones; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and other family members. Mom was born and raised on Hecla Island. She moved to Winnipeg in 1970, then Gimli and Selkirk. She suffered a stroke in 1996 and moved to St. Albert where she resided until her passing. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and burial will take place later at Hecla. If family and friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of their choice. Dear Lord, Put your arms around Mom, Hold her in your tender care, Make up to her for all she suffered, And for all she had to bear. She went through so much in silence, Her spirit didn't bend, She faced her pain with courage, Until the very end. It breaks our hearts to lose her, But she didn't go alone, For part of us went with her, The day You called her home. We love you Mom and miss you already. Goda nott Elskan
