FRANCES (FRANNY) WASKUL August 10, 1945 March 16, 2006 Peacefully at home with family by her side Frances, beloved wife and mother, passed away after lengthy battle with cancer. Frances will be sadly missed by her husband, Jerry; daughters, Cheryl and Carrie and stepchildren, Robert (Lori), Kevin (Karen), Peggy (Julia) and Keith. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Mary (Peter) Boychuk of Winnipeg and Christine Geddes of British Columbia. She was preceased by her parents, Steve and Angela Prychodko. Frances was born in Dauphin, MB but grew up and lived most of her life in Winnipeg. She worked for a short time at a sewing factory, at Paulin Chambers making cookies and candy. She married her husband, Jerry on July 31, 1971. Her oldest daughter was born in 1974 and at this time decided to stay at home and raise a family. She took care of many children throughout the years in her home daycare. In 1985, she returned to work at Old Dutch and then was hired back at Paulin Chambers, later moving on to Pizza Pops (Pillsbury/ General Mills) for 13 years. Frances was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was bright, energetic, fun loving, kind and caring. She loved to laugh, and make those around her smile. She enjoyed going to ceramics with the girls from work collecting Pillsbury Doughboys ornaments, playing bingo, tending to her flowers and the garden, going to the cottage in the summer and cooking amazing meals. We would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at CancerCare Manitoba and the angels on GD6 (Health Sciences Centre) who were by her side 24-7 for many days over the past two years. A special thanks to all for the prayers and support from family and friends. And to her Rocks you know who you are, she appreciated you more than words can say, Thank you! The Order of Burial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Munroe and Watt, with Rev. Fr. Michael Winn as officiant. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frances' memory to CancerCare Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
