GEORGE DYMONT After a courageous year's battle with complications of diabetes, George Dymont passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in Mesa, Arizona George was born in Winnipeg in January, 1924 to John and Mary (Nee Wozekowska) Dymianchuk. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Peter and Nick, and his wife of 49 years, Stephanie. George met Frances (Kitty) Barrick in Mesa, Arizona. They were married in 1996 and she survives him. George was well known in Winnipeg for his wide knowledge of Rocks Gems and had his own school, WPG Jewelry, where he taught many people the skills and crafts associated with jewelry making. He traveled frequently in his motor home to Arizona and other Western United States and Mexico over the years, gather knowledge and experience in these interests. His greatest passion however, was music. He played both trumpet and violin extraordinarily and was a member of the band known as The Versatiles that played for weddings and parties and diverse occasions in the Winnipeg area where he leaves many friends. There were few songs he did not know and he also knew many of the various world's cultures songs and music as well. He was well known in the Winnipeg, Canada area and the Greater Phoenix, AZ area for his musicianship. George served in the Canadian Armed Forces in The Second World War and was retired from Standard Aero Engine Company of Winnipeg. Private services were held in Mesa, Arizona. A special tribute was given by his recent, closest group of friends and musicians, The Noteworthy Gang . THE SONG HAS ENDED, BUT THE MEMORY LINGERS ON
