Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE NIESSNER After a lengthy illness, George passed away peacefully with his partner by his side, on March 17, 2006 at the Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 88. George was predeceased by his brothers, Michael and William and his sisters, Anne and Christine. He will be greatly missed by his life partner of 56 years, James David and also leaves to mourn his brother Adam and numerous nieces and nephews. George was a kind, quiet man and had a great sense of humour. He loved the opera, ballet and symphony. He also enjoyed travelling, gardening and was an avid reader. A memorial service will be held in Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, N.W. Wardlaw Avenue at Nassau Street North on Thursday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in George's name to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
