JOSEPH EUGENE MICHAEL CARRIERE It is with deep sorrow and sadness, the family announces the passing of our beloved husband and father Michael Carriere, on March 19, 2006, aged 48. Though he fought courageously and never gave up hope, Mike lost his two year battle with cancer. To forever cherish his memory, Mike leaves his wife Angie, daughters Ashley and Meghan, parents Andrew and Annette Carriere, his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Mike was taken from us too soon but the time we had with him was filled with joy and laughter. Even through the trials and struggles of the past two years, he always had a smile for everyone. Cancer took him away from us but it will never take the memories we have. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, nurses' aides and clerks at the Palliative Care Unit in St. Boniface General Hospital for their compassionate care and loving support given to Mike and his family. Prayers will take place Thursday, March 23, 7:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, corner of Munroe Avenue and Brazier Street. Eulogy will take place Friday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m., followed by funeral mass at 2:00 p.m., at St. Alphonsus Church with Brother Jorge OFM Cap. officiating. Service will terminate at the church with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface Palliative Care unit. Mikey, We will always hold onto your love, your smile, and your laughter; We love you daddy. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE 2146 Main St. 339-5555.
