LUBA PENZIWOL On Tuesday, March 14, 2006 after a brief illness, Luba Penziwol of Kelowna, BC, formerly of Winnipeg, MB, passed away with her family at her side. Luba will be sadly missed by her daughters, Cynthia DeSerranno (Randy), Andrea Tavares (Dan); grandchildren, Marla, Brett, Hillary and Riley as well as her sister-in-law Eleanore Malegus; nieces, Cathy Stevenson (Cliff), Donna Dudley (Gerry), Loral Kaye and Howard Sheldan of Oregon, along with many good friends. She was predeceased by her husband Rudolph in 1990; her parents, Nicholas and Mary Boychuk, as well as sister Nayda and brother Zane. Luba retired from The Credit Union Central in 1996, moving to Kelowna. She volunteered at the Kelowna Community Theatre and Cottonwoods Extended Care Home. She was an avid blood donor, receiving a plaque to commemorate her 100th donation, and was also permitted to donate blood past the age of 65. Luba loved to travel and garden, as well as spend time with her grandchildren. At Luba's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. A private family interment will follow at a later date.
