PAUL FILTEAU-HILL (GOBEIL) Peacefully on March 21, 2006, Paul passed away at the age 42. Paul is survived by Trevor; stepchild Gabriella; parents, August and Louise; brothers, John (Sharon) and Pierre (Karen); sister Rachel; parents-in-law, Charles and Peggy; nephews, Eric (Sylvie and Alexander) and Cory; nieces, Larissa, Breanne and Jessica; and numerous other relatives and close friends. He was predeceased by grandparents, Albert and Melina Filteau; Thomas and Emilienne Gobeil. Paul was born on November 19, 1963 in St. Boniface. He was very spiritual and had exceptional empathy with those going through the palliative process. He loved traveling, the outdoors and enjoyed times at the cabin. He was very proud that he had the inner strength to stay sober for a number of years. Paul was a rock for his family and his many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 255 Stafford St., with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's memory to the House of Hesed (a home for men and women living with AIDS), phone 772-4793. Don't mourn that it's over, rejoice because it happened!
