EMIL GILL After a lengthy battle, Emil passed away at the Victoria General Hospital early Wednesday morning, March 22, 2006. Born in Winnipeg on September 24, 1928, Emil was predeceased by his wife Margaret. Dad will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, Ron (Wendy), Bob (Heidi, Scott and Christopher), Don (Janice) and special friends, Buddy, Cindy, Hazel and all who knew him. Dad spent the majority of his career working for Canada Safeway and enjoyed working in his yard and walking his dogs. Dad was grateful for the compassion and care provided by all of the doctors, nurses, aides, attendants and the entire staff at the Victoria General Hospital. The family extends their sincere gratitude and thanks to each and every one of them. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 28 at the Fort Garry United Church at 800 Point Rd. at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emil's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
