Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNETA SPRATT (nee HEARN) October 23, 1918 - March 22, 2006 Neta was born on a farm in the Kelwood district on October 23, 1918. She graduated from the Dauphin Hospital in 1942 as an RN then joined the Canadian Army as a Nursing Sister. The Army posted her to a hospital in Britain and then to a field hospital in Germany. Upon her discharge in 1947, Neta joined the Public Health department in Toronto and subsequently continued her nursing career in Manitoba with the Deer Lodge Hospital, Winnipeg City Health and Brandon Hospital. Neta and Harry Spratt were married in 1956 and made their home at Kelwood, MB until 1966 when they moved to Victoria, BC where Neta worked as a Public Health nurse and Harry as a postman. They made their home in Sidney, BC after retirement. Neta moved back to Winnipeg in October 2000 and spent the last few years at The Waverley, then Golden West Centennial Lodge. Neta was predeceased by her husband Harry in August 1995, her parents Albert and Elsie Hearn; her sisters, Irma Sirett, Ila Hockin and Bernice Hearn; her infant daughter Janice and her son William. She is survived by her daughter Patricia; her grandsons, Jeremy Archer, Spencer and Michael Spratt; her brother Eldon and wife Joyce; her brother-in-law Lloyd Sirett and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Golden West Centennial Lodge for their compassionate and understanding care they provided to Neta in the recent years. An extra thank you to the staff on the second floor. Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held in Neepawa at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd., Winnipeg, MB R3B 0S8.
