MAY NEWSOME (nee WHITFIELD) November 27, 1916 - March 19 , 2006 Peacefully, on March 19, 2006, at the Charleswood Care Centre, May passed away at the age of 89. May was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Lavinia and her brothers Ernest and George. May will be sadly missed by her sister Mary Thorgeirson; sister-in-law Betty; niece Vivian (Bill Gallaway); nephew Alan (Karen) Thorgeirson; cousins Pamela and Jack and their families. May will also be missed by her life-long friends Gracie and Cicely, as well as many nieces, nephews family and friends. May lived most of her life in St. Vital and worked for the T. Eaton company for 30 years. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at the Charleswood Care Center, Unit 6 for their care and kindness shown to May. Remembrances may be made to a charity of choice in May's memory.
