KATHY VERLEIH (nee KLEIN) March 5, 1931 - March 24, 2006 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Kathy Verleih, aged 75 years, on Friday, March 24, 2006 at Concordia Hospital. She is lovingly survived by her husband Walter of 55 years; three sons, Willi, Sieg (Marianne) and Klaus (Joan); grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Brett and Marlee; one sister Helen; and four brothers, Abe, John (Betty), Ben (Doreen) and Henry (Lorraine); numerous nieces and nephews will also cherish her memory. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Helen Klein; sister Rita; and brother Peter. Kathy took great pride in her home, and she enjoyed preparing family meals, especially when it was for someone's birthday. She was a devoted wife and mother who delighted in spending time with her four grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. Funeral service will take place on Monday, March 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 350 Gilmore St. (North Kildonan), with viewing one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her sons, Willi, Sieg and Klaus; grandsons, Michael and Brett; and nephew Dale Klein. The family would like to thank the nursing staff on the 3rd floor, N.E. Wing at Concordia Hospital for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in care of Peace Lutheran Church, or the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
