DONNA LAURIE RUTLEDGE (nee BATEMAN) It is with intense sadness that family members announce the untimely passing of their mother, daughter, sister, and aunt on Thursday March 23, 2006 at the age of 54 years. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Rutledge in 1999 and her father Cecil Bateman in 2002. Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her beloved children, Hayley and David; mother, Dorcas Bateman; brother Timothy (Jan) Bateman; mother-in-law Thérèse Rutledge, sisters-in-law Kimberley (David) Jenken, Darlene (Alex) Smith, Donna (Ken) Jones, and Lisa (Roland) Roy. Also left to mourn are nieces, Rachel and Sara, and nephews, Kyle, Lorne, Patrick, Jeffrey and Kevin. Donna was born on April 19, 1951, in Brandon. She was devoted to her family and took pride and joy in her children Hayley and David. We will always remember Donna fussing over her beautiful flower gardens and indulging her many pets. Donna graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Home Economics. After her children were born she managed her own daycare so that she could be home with them. Later Donna returned to work at St. Boniface General Hospital, and was well known and respected in a number of departments. Memorial donations can be made in Donna's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 or to the Winnipeg Public Library at 986-6462.
