Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHY MIYEKO NAGAMORI June 2, 1955 - February 26, 2006 On February 26, Kathy Nagamori, aged 50, passed away peacefully at home in Victoria, BC, surrounded by her family. She will be dearly missed by her husband Peter Lehmann; daughter Melanie Storvick; parents, Tadashi and Hanaye Nagamori; brother Jerry (June Hawkes); sisters, Bev, Holly Nagamori-Cain (Art), Cindy Jonasson (Stefan), Candy (Darren Cooper); nieces and nephews, David, Jesika, Brandis, Arthur, Robert, Heather, Leah; and great-niece Zoe. Kathy was born in Winnipeg on June 2, 1955. She attended Linwood School, Deer Lodge Junior High and Sturgeon Creek Collegiate. After completing school, she worked as a receptionist at Moffat Communications (CKY) before moving to Victoria in 1975, where she worked variously for CFAX Radio, the Canada Employment Centre, Province of British Columbia, B.C. Arts Council, Victoria Film School and the B.C. Steamship Company, operator of the S.S. Princess Marguerite II, which was later acquired by the Stena Line. Kathy was a creative individual whose talent was expressed in many forms. She was an especially gifted photographer and her pictures, which gracefully captured the beauty of nature, were widely shared in the form of greeting cards and prints. She practiced Reiki and enjoyed reading, cooking, craftwork, gardening and swimming. She was an enthusiastic treasure-hunter at church bazaars and second-hand shops. A friendly and outgoing person, Kathy attracted a large group of friends who remained steadfast companions to the end. A memorial gathering was held March 3 at French Beach on Vancouver Island. There will be a private family memorial in Winnipeg at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to a charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank our many friends for their sympathy and words of condolence. THE BEAUTY OF IT ALL Getting all caught up in the race We lose sight of the beauty of it all In a hurry to find what will make our lives more wonderful We lose sight of the beauty of it all What is there right in front of our faces now Is the beauty of it all. kmn neil bardal inc. 949-2200
