KENNETH ROBERT HERDA It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Ken Herda, on March 25, 2006 at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 64 years. Ken leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his wife of 33 years Diane; his children, Michael, Miles, Dean (Michelle); grandchildren, Dustin, Samantha and Emma; his sister Beverly Cooke; and brothers, Gerry (Marlene) and Allan (Donna); his mother Stella; and in-laws, Shirley and Frank; brother-in-law Gordon Jones; also many nieces, nephews and good friends. He was predeceased by his father Andrew, brother Dick, brother-in-law Raymond (Chicke), and sister-in-law Beverly. An avid outdoorsman, Ken's leisure time was spent enjoying fishing at Poplar Bay. A virtual jack of all trades, Ken excelled in everything he did, from his wood working at home to complete home renovations for his family. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Palliative Care Unit of St. Boniface Hospital, the 3rd Floor nurses and aides at Concordia Hospital and especially to Dr. Harris. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Rev. Victoria Luke officiating. If friends so wish, memorial donations made to CancerCare Manitoba or St. Boniface General Hospital, Palliative Care, would be appreciated.
