Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD JAMES THOMAS December 13, 1931 - March 24, 2006 Peacefully with his children, sisters and friends by his bedside, Donald James Thomas of Peguis First Nation, passed away at the age of 74 years. Donald leaves to mourn his children, Marie (Colin) Stevenson, Ernie (Donna), Diana (Doug) Daniels, Perry, Randy (Marg), and Elaine (Donald) Sanderson; 23 grandchildren; sisters, Dolly Mae, Eleanor, Peggy (Alex) Sutherland, Darlene (David) Stranger, Bernice (Philip) Thomas, all of Peguis, Josephine (Welland) Slater, Marilyn (Bill) Thomas, both of Winnipeg, and Donna (Joe) Clarke of Fisher River. Donald was predeceased by his wife Pearl on January 18, 2001; his parents Joe and Mabel; brother Henry (Duff) in 2005; children, Hazel and Norman; and grandson Spencer Dean. Dad worked at building bikes and did labour work in various places. He was also a seasonal fisherman. In later years he liked going in the bush to dig senecca roots. Dad will always be loved and remembered. Special thanks to the Peguis Senior Home, Chief Louis Stevenson and Council, and family members who spent time with Dad. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at the Peguis Senior Centre. A wake service will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Peguis, MB. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 28 at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wesleyan Methodist Church with Rev. Ronald Favell officiating.
