GORDON C. RYLAND On March 24, 2006, we said good bye to our loving husband, father and grandfather and gave thanks for a wonderful life of love and caring that we will cherish forever. Gordon is survived by wife Beatrice, daughter Donna (Bryan), son Alan (Dianne) and grandchildren Megan and Lindsey, and many nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by five brothers and one sister. Gordon was very proud to serve overseas in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1943 to 1945. His career started in sales with Westeel and shifted to management with an offer from his best friend at Cronkhite Plumbing and Heating where he retired in 1982. Gord and Bea shared many happy family memories of summer vacations in Manitoba and in later years winter getaways in Maui where they enjoyed golfing and visits with friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 31 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. We wish to sincerely thank every member of the St. Boniface Palliative Care Team for their outstanding comfort and care provided to us all throughout this journey.
