MARTHA GENEVIEVE (CURLIE) WILSON Martha Genevieve Curlie Wilson passed away at her residence, Hillcrest Place, Brandon on Thursday evening, March 23, 2006. Martha was born on December 11, 1905 in Aux Marais District near Emerson, MB. She was the seventh child in a family of six girls and four boys. Her parents, James Robert and Mary (nee Calder) Copeland were pioneers in the Aux Marais District. Martha saw many changes in the world and experienced many events during her 100 years. She is survived by her daughter Myrna (Gary) Gunn; grandchildren, Dana (Merina) Gunn and Maureen (Michael) Cooper; great-granddaughter Jesse Gunn. Martha is also survived by sister-in-law Margaret (Wilson) Gillie; several nieces, nephews and their families, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Garfield; her parents, and all her brothers and sisters. The ceremony to celebrate Martha's life will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, Emerson on Saturday, April 1 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Emerson Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Martha to a charity of their choice. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
