ROBERT WATSON April 22, 1922 - March 26, 2006 Bob passed away peacefully Sunday, March 26, 2006 with his family by his side. He was predeceased by Irene, his most beloved wife (1999), his sister Jean and brother Archie. Bob is remembered by his sons, Richard (Rhoda) and Bill; cherished grandchildren, Jonas and Kara; sisters, Isobel Merrett and family, Margaret Watson; and sister-in-law Susan Watson. After retiring from Winnipeg Transit, Bob and Irene undertook many adventures. They traveled several times to Hawaii, Arizona, California and enjoyed cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean. Most of all they loved their summers at Loni Beach, Gimli, where Bob was Mr. Fix-it for all the neighbours. The family is very grateful to Calvary Place, where Bob resided the last five years. The care and affection provided by the staff were greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place. Interment and memorial service will be held at graveside Monday, April 3 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden of the Last Supper, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Everyone is to meet at the gates. There will be a reception to follow at Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Those who wish, remembrances may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 in Bob's memory.
