FLORENCE (FLO) BRISSON (nee OUIMET) Peacefully in her sleep, on March 26, 2006, Florence Brisson (nee Ouimet) passed away. Left to mourn are her children, Roger (Danita), Gilbert and Lorraine; her grandchildren, Renee (Brian) Doucette, Christie and Adam Brisson, Arlene Ferland, Sandra and Jennifer Schmidtke; and her great-grandchildren, Dayton and Danni Doucette. She is also survived by her sister Rose (Ed) Leclair and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul (Angeline) Lemoine, Alice (John) Ouimet, Laura (Hilaire) Ouimet, Rachel (Albert) Brisson, Tom and Mavis Brisson, Olive Kramble, Annette Single, Jean Brisson, Ray Brisson and many other relatives and friends. Mom was predeceased by her husband Eddie; her parents, Henry and Agnes Ouimet; her brothers, John and Hilaire Ouimet; and her sisters, Angeline Lemoine and Emerence (Emilien) Chartier. She was devoted to and lived for her family and was our heart and soul. She was fiercely protective of them and extremely proud of their accomplishments. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for many years at Loveday Mushroom Farms, where she was affectionately known as the Mushroom Lady. Many of her favourite days were spent at Nutimik Lake in the Whiteshell, where she enjoyed fishing, playing cards and board games and spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. She was very proud to have won Master Angler Awards in all of the major categories of game fish found at the lake. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 778 Archibald St., Winnipeg, on Thursday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare Manitoba, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Manitoba Heart Foundation would be appreciated.
