GERMAINE DUPRE Peacefully, on Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Dr. Gendreau Memorial Personal Care Home in Ste. Rose du Lac, MB, Germaine Dupre passed away at the age of 94 years. Germaine was born on July 18, 1911 to parents Emile Guyot and Amanda Cyrenne at Fannystelle, MB. She was raised on the family farm and attended school at Fannystelle. Following her education, she then went to work in a restaurant and was an excellent cook. One day, a fire broke out in the restaurant and Germaine saved the life of a five year old girl. On January 22, 1954, Germaine married Alexis Dupre of Laurier, MB. They farmed in the Laurier district until their retirement. Following their retirement, they continued to reside on the farm. Germaine was a very artistic woman and always kept herself busy doing painting, crocheting, knitting, petit point, paper toll, quilting and various other crafts. She loved gardening and always had beautiful flowers. On, May 22, 1993, Alexis passed away. Germaine moved to Ste. Rose where she continued with her artistic hobbies and socializing. On December 20, 1999, her health began to fail and she moved into the Dr. Gendreau Memorial Personal Care Home. Germaine enjoyed living there and was always happy with all of the good care and attention that she received. Germaine leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories, her sisters Marcelle Guppy and Helene Robert, both of Winnipeg, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be offered on Friday, March 31 at 1:30 p.m. with the funeral mass to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Notre Dame des Victoires Roman Catholic Church, Laurier. Fr. Paul Tinguely as celebrant with the interment to follow in the Notre Dame des Victoires Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be, Marc Guppy, Ralph Guppy, Jean Gamache, Adrien Gamache, Donald Guyot, and Denis Robert. All of Germaine's family are to consider themselves as honorary pallbearers. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in memory of Germaine to the Dr. Gendreau Memorial Personal Care Home, P.O. Box 420, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB R0L 1S0. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of the Dr. Gendreau Memorial Personal Care Home for all of the wonderful care given to Germaine. Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste.
