Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE CAROLINE KLIMCZAK It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of a tremendous wife, mother and grandmother on March 22, 2006. Marj passed away suddenly and peacefully at her winter home in Mesa, AZ. Marj was born April 20, 1929 in Brandon, MB, the oldest daughter of Victoria and Alex Thompson. She is predeceased by her sister Margaret. Upon completing high school in Brandon she enrolled in the nursing program at Brandon General Hospital, graduating with her R.N in 1950. It was while working as a nurse at the Brandon Sanatorium DVA Hospital that she met Zyggy Klimczak. They married September 8, 1951. Marj and Zyggy have two boys, Rick and Tracy. Marj was the world's greatest grandma to Michelle, Lori and Kevin and a tremendous mother-in-law to Marilyn and Tiana. As the family was growing and Zyggy's career was progressing the family moved from Brandon to Swan River in 1963, Pine Falls in 1970 and then to Deloraine in 1974. Marj's nursing career included being an instructor in the licensed practical nursing program in Brandon General and Swan River hospitals. In 1983, after completing her R.N. refresher program she led some in-service programs in the Deloraine hospital and worked at the Bren-Del-Win Nursing home. For the last 18 years Marj and Zyggy have been spending their winters at Carriage Manor in Mesa and their summers in Deloraine. Marj was always very active in the community, some of her involvements included being a Scout Leader in Deloraine, a member of the Board of Directors of the Swan River School Band, United Church Woman's Auxiliary and a teacher volunteer at the Deloraine High School. She was an active member of the United Church in Swan River, Pine Falls and Deloraine, often helping out as a Sunday school teacher. There will be a memorial service at the Deloraine United Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15. The family asks that any donations be made to the Deloraine United Church.
