PETER KOZERA With deepest sorrow the children announce the passing of their father, grandfather and great-grandfather on March 29, 2006 at the East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, MB. Dad was predeceased by his wife Gertrude on December 18, 1975, parents Michael and Ann, by his brother Frank, brother-in-law Harry Soluk, uncle Mike Cherkas. Dad was born on March 25, 1916 in Greenwald, MB. He will be missed by his two children, Dolores Hnatyshyn (Orest), grandson Brian Hnatyshyn (Lisa), great-grandchildren Ryan and Tanya; son Herb Kozera (Melvina), grandchildren Christina Smith (Kevin), great-grandchildren Joshua, Kyle and Alyssa and granddaughter Karen. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Jean Soluk, sister-in-law Emily Kozera, aunt Pauline Cherkas as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the East Gate Lodge for the care and compassion shown to our father and to the Home Care workers who tended to him at South Haven. Prayers will be said on Sunday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. from Russell Funeral Home. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. from the St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour with Fr. David Brabant presiding. Interment in the family plot in Ladywood, MB.
