Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA MARIE SMITH (DUNN) December 15, 1909 - March 24, 2006 It is with deep sadness that the family of Patricia Smith announces that God broke their hearts on Friday, March 24, 2006 when a heart of gold stopped beating at the age of 96. Patirica leaves to cherish her many memories to her only daughter Linda; her son-in-law Orille; her granddaughters, Colleen (Fabian), Michelle (Kyle) and Rebecca; her great-granddaughters, Jazzmin, Jordyn, Sage; and her great-grandson Ryan. She will also be missed by her sister Iris, her sister-in-law Nita, as well as their families. She was predeceased by her husband Frank (Hardrock) Smith of 40 years. She was also predeceased by her parents, Grace and Thomas Dunn; brothers, Tommy, Kelly and Bud; her sisters, Crystal and Grace. Patricia was born in Winnipeg on December 15, 1909. She resided in Winnipeg until she married Frank. They moved up north to Sheridan and later to Lynn Lake, MB. She was a member of the Eastern Star where she received the honour of being Worthy Grand Matron of the Lynn Lake chapter. She was a member of the United Church Ladies Auxiliary. Patricia enjoyed many hobbies but her most favourite was to knit her family mitts and slippers. One of her greatest passions was gardening and this could be seen by the way she grew her favourite flower the pansy; she also got pleasure from picking wild mushrooms. Patricia enjoyed participating in many sports such as hunting, golfing and curling. She loved to entertain her family and friends; she will be remembered for being a host of many good parties, including Friday happy hour, card parties and her Christmas gatherings. Her Irish eyes will always be smiling down upon us. According to Patricia's wishes cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date with immediate family.
