Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN ROBERT GUILBEAULT 1930 - 2006 Peacefully, John, aged 75, passed away on March 23, 2006 at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. He will be forever missed by Doreen, his loving wife of 50 years; his children, Gerald (Barb), Shirley (Ron), Linda (John), Annette (Bill), Rose-Ann (Howard); grandchildren, Andrew, Mathew, Daniel, Amanda, Melissa, Shawn, Jonathan, Sheldon, Garrett, Darcy, Nadine, Robert, and Brooklyn. He will also be missed by his sister, brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews of Ontario as well as by other family members in Manitoba. John was predeceased by his parents, Lida and Romeo Guilbeault and brother Telesphore Guilbeault. Dad was born in Belle River, ON in 1930. He came to Manitoba at the age of 24 to look for work. He met Mom soon after and they were married in 1956. Mom and Dad moved to Teulon in 1961. Dad worked at the Hosiery in Teulon and Carter Bridge Construction in Winnipeg before spending 22 years with the City of Winnipeg until his retirement in 1991. He continued to farm in Teulon until he moved into Goodwin Lodge in 2003. Dad's special passion was farming and he also enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with the family. We the family, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of Goodwin Lodge, the nurses, nurses aids, dietary and housekeeping staff for all the care and friendship they gave Dad as well as for the comfort and compassion they provided to Mom and all the family members. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Graham and staff of the Teulon Hospital for all the care and comfort they provided to Dad and all the family members. We would also like to thank Dr. Tanner and Dr. Gozman and the nursing staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for the excellent care of Dad before and after his surgery. Dad will be sadly missed by his family and all that knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Goodwin Lodge or St. Peters Lutheran Church in Teulon. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in St. Peters Lutheran Church in Teulon. Lunch will be served downstairs after the service. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
