MARGARET LILIAN TRASIEWICK (nee PIRIE) 1921 - 2006 Mom passed away peacefully on March 30, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband Joe, father James, Mother Elspit, brother Jimmy and sister Jean. Mother to Brian Bevan (Debbie); Gramma to David (Connie), Michael (Christine), Joanne (Rich), Jennifer and Erin; Great Gramma to Ryan, Paige, Noah and Ty. Mom had many interests during her lifetime. Her love of travel was evident by the number of magnets proudly displayed on her fridge. Ever the avid sports enthusiast, she enjoyed baseball, curling and golf. Later on in her life her enthusiasm focused on the Scots, the Briar and the Worlds. Mom enjoyed all forms of entertainment which could vary from a simple night out at the movies to an evening performance at the Concert Hall. But she particularly enjoyed taking her family out for dinner. Those Oh Gramma moments will be fondly remembered. Her favourite season was summer when she loved to spend warm afternoons reading on her balcony and always had time to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren swim in the pool. And let's not forget those summer treats like hot fudge sundaes. Mom didn't have a particularly easy life and kept most complaints to herself choosing to deal with each of life's challenges in her own fashion always carrying on as the independant woman we knew and loved. She enjoyed the todays, didn't dwell on the yesterdays and always looked forward to the tomorrows. Whether you knew her as Peg, Aunt Peg, Gramma T, Gramma or Mom she was a kind and generous person who will be sadly missed. Brian and Debbie would like to extend our deepest thanks to all of Mom's family and friends who supported her during her final months. We would also like to send a special thankyou to our back up team, Mom's guardian angels, Ev and Vic Gordon. Cremation has taken place and a memorial tea in Mom's honour will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mom's memory to the charity of your choice. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
