SIDNEY H. LEVENSTEIN Sidney H. Levenstein, born March 19, 1926 in Winnipeg, MB, died February 26, 2006 in San Diego, CA. In search of a climate to ease his asthma suffering, Sid left Canada at 19, making his way to Fort Worth, Tx. In 1950 Sid married the love of his life, Sarah Harelik, and they settled in the Texas Panhandle town of Borger to open Sid's Jewelry. For 35 years the business thrived and in 1985 Sid and Sarah moved to Rancho Bernardo, CA. There they enjoyed a retirement filled with friends, cooking, the arts, travel and golf. Sid will be remembered for his zest for living, his ability to tell funny stories, and his loyal friendship. He will be greatly missed. Sid is survived by his beloved wife Sarah; his brother Robert of Winnipeg; his brother Cyril and wife Marilyn of Toronto; his sister Carole and husband Bernie of Yucca Valley, CA; his daughter Brenda, her husband John and two grandchildren, Paige and David of San Antonio, TX.
