DAVID GOERTZEN Peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the St. Boniface Hospital, David passed away with his family at his side. David leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 56 years, Helen as well as one sister Susan and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dave was born in Saskatchewan the youngest of 16 children. In 1950 he married Helen (Slessor), they lived in Fort Rouge and Transcona for many years. The last 12 year they have resided on Niakwa Road where they have formed many close friendships and where he will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. He was employed with the T. Eaton Company for 34 years. Helen and the family would like to thank all the staff at St. Boniface Hospital 5th and 6th floors. With special thanks to Doris on the 6th floor who always made Helen as comfortable as possible. Memorial service will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Wednesday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m., this will be a celebration of Dave's life. A reception will follow. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice are appreciated in Dave's name. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME 885-9715
