ANGELO PENTRELLI Peacefully with his family by his side, Angelo passed away on March 31, 2006. Angelo was born on April 3, 1926 in Modugno, Italy where he met and married his beloved Maria (nee Donvito) on July 3, 1949. They became happy parents of six children. In 1975 Angelo and Maria ventured to Canada with high hopes of a better future. They settled in Winnipeg and raised their three youngest children with a strong sense of family. Angelo was a hard working and loyal employee of Greensteel Industries until his retirement in 1989. He enjoyed tending his garden, fine-tuning his wine, singing and savoring Maria's cooking. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maria; children Graziella (Pasquale), Placida (Giovanni), Michele (Francesca), Paolo, Eugenio and Felina (Peter); granddaughter Mariella and 11 other grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren in Italy; brother-in-law Giuseppe (Antionetta) Donvito and his son Paolo. He was predeceased by his beloved parents and 8 siblings. Special thanks to Sister Gerarda for her love and support. The family would also like to thank all the staff at Grace Hospital and Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue. Public visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass. A private entombment will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens. Honoring the Lenten Season, flowers are not permitted in Church.
