PHILIP SINCLAIR July 17, 1910 - March 31, 2006 Peacefully on March 31, 2006, Phillip went to be with the Lord. Phillip leaves to mourn his passing his two sons, Ernest (Lorraine), and Daniel (Marina); his daughter, Dorothy (Guy). Dad was 95 years of age and had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dad lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed being with his friends. He was better known as Friend by many of his associates. He was a likeable person to all who knew him. He loved to make people laugh and often said and did humorous things. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Christina in 1957; daughter Zelma Hunter; son Mark Sinclair; step-sons James and Wilfred Thompson; grandson David Hunter and his brother Edward. Dad was born and raised in Little Saskatchewan First Nation. In his early years he had a small farm of cattle and horses. He enjoyed working as a commercial fisherman and labourer for many years. In his latter years when he was unable to work, he was transitioned into the Fisher River Personal Care Home and subsequently to the Central Park Lodge in Winnipeg. The family extends gratitude to the staff who took care of dad in both personal care homes and to the health professionals at the Health Sciences Centre for doing their utmost to make dad comfortable in his final hours. The family also extends gratitude to Chief Hector Shorting and Band Council, to Chief Garnet Woodhouse and Council for their support. Wake service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. at the Church of the Open Door 137 Euclid Ave, Wpg, MB. Wake service will also be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Little Saskatchewan Pentecostal Church with Jim Anderson and Donald Gould officiating.
