Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK BURCH It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Frederick Burch. Fred passed away peacefully on April 2, 2006 after a short illness at the Health Sciences Centre. Fred will be dearly missed by his loving wife Dorothy of almost 56 years; his children Donna (Bob), Fred (Lois), Debbie (Craig), Gail, Wayne (Chris); grandchildren Michael (Tanya), Kenny, Kaylee, Paul (Denise), David (Arianne), Annie, Jennifer, Ryan, Caitlin and Nicole. He is also survived by one remaining triplet, Gilbert Burch. As well as many nieces, nephews and special friends. Fred was born a triplet on February 25, 1927 to parents Margaret and William. He was one of five boys born and raised on Inglewood Street in St. James. Fred was a dedicated employee to CP Rail, starting at age 16 and continuing as a life long passion for over 42 years. Fred loved to travel across Canada and the United States in the family car, tent trailer in tow. His love of trains was evident in his years spent oil painting locomotives. In his retirement years, cruising with Dorothy in his restored 1959 Ford Convertible became a favorite past time. Fred also enjoyed spending time with his nephew, Brent, working on their classic cars. Many memories were created spending time with good friends over the years, whether entertaining at home or going on outings. One of his great loves was his grand dog Dana, who he loved to take care of. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 6, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with reception to follow.
