RON ASSAILLY After a courageous battle with cancer, Ron Assailly passed away peacefully with family by his side at the age of 60 years. He is predeceased by his father Octave and by two sisters, Eliane and Olive and brother-in-law Gene Samson. Left to cherish his beautiful memory, are his mother Jeanne; loving wife of 34 years Cheryl; daughters, Lisa (Abel) Bourgouin, Kelly and fiancée Joey Pedrick; grandchildren, Josée and Kaleb. Also left to mourn are his sisters, Germaine (Keith) Beals, Virginia (Ernest) Novak, Madelaine (Fernand) Corbel, Rita Edler and Joanne (Kirk Gilmore); and three brothers, Noël (Betty), Lucien (Christine) and Robert (Orise) and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was a devoted family man who found pride and joy in his children and grandchildren. He loved woodworking, camping, the outdoors, cooking and baking. Ron enjoyed life even though it was not always easy; he overcame every obstacle with a sense of humour. Funeral service will be celebrated at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Rd., on Friday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Raymond Baudry officiating.
