VERNA OSIOWY Peacefully, on April 3, 2006, Verna Osiowy, aged 69 years, passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Verna will be sadly missed and joyfully remembered by brother Joe (Vi); sisters, Jean, Adele (John); special nieces and nephews, Ken (Margaret), Jason, Tina, Irene (George), Bonnie, Jonathan, Ed (Val), Mandy, Dylan, Don (Dora), Taylor, Darlene (Joe), Jennifer, Stacey, Joe (Colleen), Ernie (Val), Brian (Debbie); sister-in-law Helen Osiowy; brother-in-law John Osiowy; many special life long friends and neighbours. She was predeceased by her husband Ed in June 1998 and brother-in-law Herb in 1996. Verna was born in Cook's Creek, MB on April 17, 1937 to Victor and Sophie Kuffner. She worked with the Grain Exchange and then with Ed at Nairn Construction until they retired. She enjoyed many trips to the US and to friends in other provinces. Cremation has taken place and Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 7 at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe Avenue at Brazier with Br. J. Villegas, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. A private interment will take place in Glen Eden Cemetery. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at the Palliative Care Ward at Riverview Health Centre.
