MARIA LURDES DACOSTA Peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, surrounded by her loving family, Maria passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Maria was born on October 1, 1917 in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal to Francisco and Ernestina Matias. She was predeceased by her husband Guilherme daCosta in 1977. She is survived by her children, Maria Helena (Jacinto) Sousa, Maria doCarmo (Raul) Lourenco, Odilia (Antonio) Silva, Germana (Daniel) Furtado, Joe (Maria) Cabral in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Antonio (Helena) Cabral and Guilherme (Grace) daCosta in Portugal, Carlos (Vidalia) daCosta, Manuel (Linda) daCosta in Thunder Bay, and John (Anabela) daCosta. Also surviving her are 35 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and her sister Belmira Camara in Fall River, MA. The family would like to thank Dr. Fuzeta and the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital for their wonderful care. Prayers will be held on Friday, April 7, at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 8, at 10:00 a.m., also at the church with Rev. Fr. José Eduardo Medeiros presiding. Interment will be in St. Andrews Roman Catholic Cemetery, Thunder Bay, ON. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
