BETTY HAZEL ROLLO (Auntie Bette) 1924 2006 It is with deep regret that we announce the peaceful passing of our aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt, Bette, after a prolonged illness with heart and lung disease. Auntie Bette passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the St. Boniface General Hospital. She was 81 years of age and had always lived in the house built by her father across from what was then the old River Park. Bette is survived by her niece Judy Rannard (Dave); her nephew Gerry Cooper (Laurie); her great nieces and nephews, Liz LeBaron (Chris), Marnie Lewis (Ron), Bruce Rannard (Karen), Bryan Rannard (Inga), Jodie Fraser (Todd) and Jamie Cooper (Lisa). She is also survived by 12 great-great nieces and nephews and a host of loving friends and neighbors. Bette was predeceased many years ago by her parents, Don and Elizabeth; by her sister Margaret Cooper (1979); and brother-in-law Rae (1989) of Calgary, AB. For many years, Bette worked with the CPR and the SOO Line Railways in Winnipeg. After retirement, she took on another career with the Insurance Institute of Manitoba. She always loved her work and gave it her all. A Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date. Our family particularly wishes to recognize the care and devotion offered to our aunt by her friend and neighbor, Bruce MacCutcheon. Without his support she could not have happily remained in her home as long as she did. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in Bette's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice or to The Winnipeg Humane Society. She fed every furry or feathered friend that came calling. She loved us all and we loved her. Bette's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 4665
