Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID GEORGE BRUCE With great sadness we announce the passing of David Bruce, aged 69, at the Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, BC. Loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. Dave passed away peacefully on April 6, 2006 after a prolonged illness. Left to cherish his memory is Helen, his loving wife of 46 years; his brother Robert (Mary) of Clandeboye; sisters, Doreen Eastman of Selkirk, Daisy (Peter) Yakimchuk, Jean (James) Robinson of Winnipeg, and Betty McDonald (Henry) of St. Andrews; sister-in-law Lynn McCracken of Winnipeg and brother-in-law Ken (Liz) McCracken of Montreal; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved son Craig in 1978, his parents James and Emily Bruce and his brother Donald. Dave was born in Clandeboye, January 12, 1937 and was raised there. Dave was a very loyal and dedicated employee of Merchants Consolidated of Winnipeg for over 35 years and he made many friends there. Dave and Helen built their retirement home in Clandeboye in 1992 and lived there until 1997 when they moved to White Rock. Dave loved his retirement home in Gateway Gardens and made many new friends. His hobby was gardening and his flowers. His yard was often referred to as Bruce Park . Dave was known for his sense of humour, for his big heart and was always willing to help family or friend. He will be sadly missed. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and interment beside his beloved son Craig will be held at a later date in Clandeboye.
