JOHN GEORGE SWAMPY (PORKY) Born: March 15, 1954 Died: April 6, 2006 It is with great sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, cousin and friend John George Swampy on Thursday, April 6, 2006. Son of Germaine Swampy and deceased Alice Guimond (April 6, 1972), he was also predeceased by two brothers in infancy, Kelvin and Howard. He was also predeceased by Bobby and Dylan Courchene (nephews), father-in-law William Prince. He was father to Marie Fontaine (Kirby), William (Rochelle), Tobi (David Allan), Lawrence Courchene and Clem Swampy; grandfather of Alissa, Denzel Fontaine, Megarah, Trent, Keely and Teagan; also special grandson Baby David. Left to cherish his memory is his common-law wife Linda Courchene (Lunchie); sisters, Jean Fontaine (Larry), Alma Lavendier (Harold), Lorna Hamlin (Warren); brothers, Jerry Swampy (Merle), Richard Swampy (Lorraine), David Swampy (Denise), Garry Swampy (Susan), numerous family and friends. Wake service will be held at John's house on the north shore. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m.at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Fort Alexander, MB.
