JACK FALK Passed away peacefully at the age of 80, on Saturday, April 8, 2006, surrounded by family, after a long and well-fought struggle with Parkinson disease. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters and brothers and his first wife Grace. Left to cherish his memory is Yumi his loving wife of 24 years, daughters Jan (Bert) and Debbie (Brad), and sons Terron (Samantha) and Kelly (Kim). He will also be missed by his beloved grandchildren Lauren and Logan, extended family and friends. Jack was born and raised in Altona. After leaving home at an early age, he worked in a variety of jobs until he settled on LaFarge, where for 29 years he developed life-long friendships with his co-workers and customers. He was actively involved in Kinsmen and Toastmasters for many years. Jack was an avid fisherman, enjoyed a great game of crib, pool, golf and darts. He also enjoyed a variety of building and renovation projects and had a talent for carpentry. The family would like to thank his Doctors, Sutherland and Hobson, the nurses and support staff of the 3rd floor of Concordia Hospital, all his homecare workers and family and friends for all of their love and support which sustained us during his lengthy illness. A celebration of Jack's life will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Klassen Funeral Home (1897 Henderson NKld). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba.
