JOYCE MARION KISILOSKI (nee MCKAY) 1930 2006 It is with great sadness, after a lengthy illness, with her family at her side, that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on April 8, 2006 at the age of 75, at Seven Oaks Hospital. She will be lovingly remembered by husband Tom; sons, Wayne, Larry (Sandra), Len (Sylvia) and Don; six granddaughters, one grandson and two great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are brother John (Donna); sisters, Florence, Audrey (Morris), Margaret and many other close family members and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Kathy, March 2003; parents Alex and Daisy; brother Melvin and sisters, Irene and Gladys. Mom and Dad were married for 54 years. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg, then moved to Petersfield and back to Winnipeg. She was a devoted, talented and loving person. She was an exceptional cook, from her soups to her pies and Ukrainian dishes. Her greatest times were spent with the family at all gatherings, holidays and Winnipeg Beach. She loved to garden and knit and was ecstatic when she started to have grandchildren. Mom spent lots of time conversing on the phone with her sons and family. She was truly a mother. She loved going to the beach to feed the birds, play bingo, scrabble, thirty-one and doing puzzles. Mom also did a lot of cooking out there, which included baking cinnamon buns, apple pies and homemade bread. All of her son's friends adored her as well and especially her cheesecake and potato pancakes. Mom, you did a great job raising your family. You taught us love, respect and being strong in all situations. This will be the toughest with the world's greatest mother not being around. Rest now Mom, the pain is gone. Till we meet again. We will miss you, never forget you and always love you. On behalf of the family, we express our heartfelt thanks to all nursing staff that looked after Mom while in the Seven Oaks Hospital and to the ones that did that little extra. We love you. If friends so desire, donations in Joyce's memory may be made to the Cancer Society. Memorial service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, April 12 at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
