It is with great sorrow that the family of Raymond George announces his sudden and unexpected passing on Friday, April 7, 2006 at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 65 years. Remaining to forever cherish in his memory are his loving wife Adeline; children, Donna Saul (Randy), Derrick (Heather), Karen Hallson and Michael (Erin) and the light of his life were his grandchildren, Tyler, Megan, Carter, Nicholas, Reid and Dylan; brothers, Henry (Nadine), Peter (Nancy) and Reggie (Sherry); as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his mother, Ann (November 1996) and his father, Raymond Sr. (January 2006). In 1940 Raymond was born in Sunderland, England and in 1956 he and his family immigrated to Canada. In 1962 he married his wife Adeline and started his family. Raymond started his career in Canada at Delro Industries where he worked for many years. He was currently employed at the Cadorath Group. Fishing, hunting, camping, travelling and spending time with his family was what Raymond enjoyed the most. He was a member of the St. James Knights of Columbus where he is a past Grand Knight. Raymond was involved with Pop Warner Football acting as a referee and then coaching teams to many successful championships. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Ave at Rouge Road, with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P. H., V. F. presiding. Our family would like to express their gratitude to the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and the Grace Hospital for their efforts and kindness.
